ALBIN VEGA 27
No. 3070
Production year: 1977

What was done?
  1. We put a new SVG gelcoat, anti-osmosis primer, Coppercoat antifouling and new nonskid deckcoating from Epifanes.
  2. We completely exchanged rigging, mast (we used Z-Spar products) and roler (Facnor).
  3. We replaced the sails (we used the DCX-L fabric while mainsail covers were made by BrytSails). We installed selfsteer from Windpilot and we mounted a new rudder blade.
  4. We exchanged and remodeled the interior, creating a navigation corner with a table (check the photo gallery).
  5. Port, starboard and side shelves are also listed. We used Gisatex fabric and Thermoflex for mattresses.
  6. We installed new windows. We used tempered glass in aluminum frames.
  7. We reconstructed entire toilet where we installed the LAVAC system.
  8. We replaced the drive to BetaMarine (Kubota 16KM), a new shaft with a propeller (Python Drive) and all other fittings.
  9. We modernized entire electrical system. We installed 2 battery banks:
    • start battery: Optima Blue (AGM 75);
    • house battery: Victron (AGM 2 x 160Ah).
    And two Victron IP67 chargers (all cable ends are rolled and insulated with heat shrinkable insulation).
  10. We used the Victron's galvanically isolated power supply.
